There is an installation option called old style or something like that which I
selected and the result is that my winamp.bm file is
still in the Program Files/winamp folder where it always was. I am using
Winamp 5.51.

Yes, it is in the Documents and Settings/user name/Application
Data/Winamp/Winamp.bm.
The file format appears to be the same.

Previous to the last Winamp update, Winamp bookmarks were stored in the
Winamp root folder in a file named WINAMP.BM. It was possible to edit this
file with a text editor. Apparently this is no longer the case. I've
searched through Winamp's sub folders but can't find anything that looks
like a bookmark file. Does anyone know what the new file is called, where
it is stored, and whether it remains a text file?
