I am having the same problems everyone else is having with I Tunes. In the 
previous copy of I Tunes, once you hilighted artist, pressed the spacebar to 
check or uncheck the selection, tab over to sync your music to your device, it 
worked just fine. If anyone has a solution, let me know.Sent from my iPhone

Sometimes there may be little fix it shops in your town that might be able to 
help you. However, if you are not used a soddering gun, i suggest purchasing a 
new pair, the cost of the repair might be more than what the headphones are 
worth.
