[PD] problems compiling pd-extended 0.42.5 on natty 64-bit
Hi everybody, I was trying to install pd-extended 0.42.5 from source on a 64-bit Natty machine. I was logged in as root. The unpacked pd-extended archive folder was either at / or /root/. Before starting I did apt-get build-dep puredata gem pd-pdp. But at the end of ./configure prefix=/usr I get this: config.status: creating makefile config.status: WARNING: makefile.in seems to ignore the --datarootdir settings make install seems to be working. Pd-extended itself is running but none of the libraries are installed! I checked the externals/Makefile. The libraries are there! I also tried an alternative way that I found somewhere after searching: aclocal autoconf ./configure make make install This doesn't make any difference. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this? I have not installed pd from source before - so I must be missing something. [PD] how to tell poly object release time?
to make the poly object more compatible with the ADSR philosophy, it would be nice if you could tell poly the release time (after note-offs) to keep a voice free if its possible. ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management - http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list
Re: [PD] how to tell poly object release time?
You could set a delay to the note offs only that are going into the poly object. Set the delay time to the release time of the envelope. On pd-extended I would do it like this: [notein] | | [pack f f] | (off)[nroute 0 2] (noteon) |\ / \ [mrpeach/pipelist] | \ / \ / \ / \ / [unpack] | | [poly] Problems can occur if the same note is repeating faster than the release time, though. That would require some special treating! For example sending a not off with the same note number to [poly] right before each note on. Thank you Ingo In packages/linux, run: make install make package Then you'll have a Pd-extended.deb to install, and that will include everything. .hc If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others of exclusive property, it is the action of the thinking power called an idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the possession of everyone, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of it.- Thomas Jefferson ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management - http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list

Has anyone fooled with the libfreenect/openkinect pure data I cannot seem to build osceleton on ubuntu 11, but freenect-glview which is included with the libfreenect patches seems to work extremely well I found hcs' osceleton patches and they work fine on osx but I think they rely on OpenNI/Osceleton I am trying specifically to get this working on a newer ubuntu distro cheers~ pp ___ Pd-list@iem.at mailing list UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management - http://lists.puredata.info/listinfo/pd-list
