[PD] Video stream to pd
Dear list, Does any of you know a good way to get a video stream, for example webcam from internet into pd? To be processed with GEM? I found a way via camTwist, to capture screen from vlc into a vitual camera to use with [pix_video], but the quality is not so nice. How about quarts composer? Can i get frames from quartz composer to pd? How about syphon? Anyone experiences here? Thanks for the answer, josé. giss is quite cool i think, but here I try to get some videos/streams INTO pd not out. VLC plugin to open everything VLC can open would be perfect. [PD] Get metadata with readanysf~ ?
Dear list, Any idea whether it's possible to get the metadata off a stream playing in readanysf~? It seems like webradio streams only broadcast metadata at regular intervals an not continuously, so i would expect the solution to be non-trivial. So in a little burst of activity, there has been new work on the Pd-extended 0.43 release. A bunch of bugs have been fixed, a new Windows XP build server is up and running, a couple of bugs are still outstanding. Overall, things are looking good and ready to go!
