We have an installation running at www.verbekefoundation.com with two arduino's and pd for several years now. The only thing that fries now and then are the power supplies. iirc, it's just a matter of sending the right [devicename name_of_device( to the two [comport], ( or [arduino] ?) objects. Hi Each [arduino] object connect to a specified COM port and each of your arduinos is connected to a different COM port. So there shouldn't be any issue. If you need loads of I/O you have serializers for digital I/O and multiplexers for analog I/O. But then you have to write your own arduino code, but there are loads of libraries there to help.
