Hi

if you're running on Linux check the [ADDITIONAL-INFOS] in the arduino-
help.pd on the upper right corner in the
pd-rewrite: https://github.com/reduzent/pduino
as mentioned below the infos you'll find there are basically from
http://answers.ros.org/answers/101/revisions/
with this method you can connect the arduino within pd due to its serial
adress avoiding id-conflicts.

hope this helps

iirc, it's just a matter of sending the right [devicename

name_of_device( to the two [comport], ( or [arduino] ?) objects.

You can get those devicenames by doing ls /dev/ttyU*, which will give

you something like /dev/ttyUSB0 and

/dev/ttyUSB1, representing the two arduino's.
(under the assumption that the newer arduino models still work the same

way.)

 Hi

Anybody knows if its posible to use multiple arduinos ( 2 or 3

arduino mega) with the same pduino based puredata patch?

 Thanks!

Tried it again right now and it's working. Might have been a server issue.

It works for me on natty with Pd-0.43 vanilla . Which Pd version does
crash?

2011-09-06 Thread Pierre-Olivier Boulant

Hi

Each [arduino] object connect to a specified COM port and each of your
arduinos is connected to a different COM port.

So there shouldn't be any issue.

If you need loads of I/O you have serializers for digital I/O and
multiplexers for analog I/O. But then you have to write your own arduino
code, but there are loads of libraries there to help.

Create the arduino object with the number of the port, i.e.

[arduino 2]
[arduino 3]
[arduino 4]

You can get those numbers by sending the [devices( message to [arduino].
