LR question: selecting and deleting virtual copies
I just went through a bunch of catalog housekeeping, and I've found that I've got a bunch of virtual copies that were automatically created. Re: Any new info on K-5 sensor stains?
Haven't heard any more. I suspect a few cameras actually had sensor spots, which led to numerous chicken littles seeing spots where there were none. A lot of the cluckers on Pentax forum were testing by shooting a piece of paper with a somewhat wide lens at f22. If one does that, a speck on the paper can show up as a blob. If there were a substantial number of cameras with spotted sensors, i would guess they're now out of the pipeline at stores that move a lot of merchandise. That 3D look some are talking about ...
...with some lenses (Pentax of course). I know this has been debated quite much and that it is somewhat weird to talk about 3D in a photograph but... man, my C330 does throw at me exactly that in its waist level finder and 80mm/2.8 lens. Is that the lens? The finder? Medium format DOF ? Re: That 3D look some are talking about ...
I always liked waist level finders. You could do that so easily with digital and the best you can get is an adjustable LCD. I always found you could hold a camera really steady in that position. As for 3D, MF can produce some amazing stuff. On Fri, Jan 7, 2011 at 8:54 AM, Thibouille pentaxl...@gmail.com wrote: ...with some lenses (Pentax of course). OT: Frustration!
I am about to lose my freakin' mind. I have a computer I built in 2005 that was giving me some problems (CMOS battery was old keyboard connection wasn't secure), and it needed a new display. My old CRT was faded out not economically repairable. Due to budgetary constraints, I waited until after the first of the year to fix it. Bought a new LCD display to replace my faded CRT. Everything tests out Ok. All I need to do is put back the four screws holding the power supply in place. I've got a whole little parts box with all the screws necessary to build, repair or upgrade a PC. It's one of those little plastic divider boxes. I've seen that box here at the apartment within the last 72 hours. I verified I had it here (along with the screw-drivers) before I went to Raleigh to pick up the computer and buy the new LCD. I can't find the box of screws anywhere. As soon as I go out and buy more screws, I know I'll be tripping over that box every time I turn around ... until I try to put the rest of the new package of screws in it. I'm sure it's some kind of conspiracy. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

PESO: Iwo Jima Memorial
This is another image that was rejected by the Pentax Gallery after being under review for two weeks longer than any of the others submitted at the same time. I really didn't expect it to get in, but I like it for sentimental reasons (I'm an old Marine) and because it's a 6x7 scan. (Scanned images seem harder to get into the Pentax Gallery; I don't know whether that is because of the quality of the scans, or because there is a bias against cameras they no longer sell) http://blogs.delphiforums.com/n/blogs/blog.aspx?nav=mainwebtag=djm1963entry=53 As usual, Comments, suggestions, criticisms and abuse are all welcome. -- Dan Matyola http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/danieljmatyola -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
