Re: PESO Windeward Bound
I saw that in the background of a previous photo and hoped you'd post a pic of it :) It brings back fond memories of going out on a steam tugboat to watch the Endeavour replica leaving Lyttelton Harbour. I lugged my RB67 and a large print from that day (either 30x20 or 40x30, I forget) is hanging in the meeting room at my wife's office. It's the biggest print I've ever had made. I know I made a scan of it but it's not in my online database so I can't show it right now. Yes, the weak Takumar 135/2.5 in K mount has a multicolored dof scale on the barrel - always easy to spot on ebay. I also believe it is not multicoated glass. The older SMC K 135/2.5 is an excellent lens, second only to the A135/1.8. Most people don't know about it. Regards, Bob S. Anyone still have a darkroom and can use printing paper?
I don't think this os OT if you are shooting film with PEntax :-) I came across a box of 5 x 7 Oriental seagull RP-F - Variable contrast resin coated..about 200 sheets are I'd guess still unused and protected. My only fear is that someone opened the black envelope.. now if all they did was open it a little then the interior paper is safe... how dead it is I don't know, It is medium weight, glossy. But I thought I would go into what is left of my darkroom and take out a couple of sheets, mail it to whom ever is interested in this paper for them to check out to see if it is any good. If it is and you want it, I'll mail it to you and you can refund me the $1.99 I paid for it and send me shipping money after you see how much it is when you get it. Oriental seagull was may very favorite bw printing paper when I was doing film.. I'd just like it to go to a good home to someone who really will use it and who would appreciate the low cost. The box says 250.. it isn't full. ann -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Re: American Landscapes 2014
Thanks, Darren! My workflow with the Holga is pretty simple - I generally shoot BW film, so I develop it myself (changing bag / daylight tank) and then just scan on a Nikon LS 8000. These days I scan everything and then handle the files as digital images after that. Medium Format scanning with the LS 8000 is the only situation where I use Nikonscan. The software interface is a pain (changing certain settings makes everything reset to the active profile) but scan quality is good. It's slow - probably 2 1/2 hours to scan 12 6x6 exposures. Vuescan has a better interface but requires the user to manually frame up the scan on the LS 8000 - something that would take forever to do. I use Vuescan for 35mm with this scanner but it's not workable for MF. Mark On 8/16/2014 11:41 AM, Darren Addy wrote: Congrats on the honor, Mark! Both very worthy images.
