Everything Old is New Again

2017-04-18 Thread Jay Taylor
A couple weekends back I made my annual visit to our local  historical camera
collectors swap meet in hopes of finding a K version of the SMC 28/3.5. I
wasn't that lucky (I usually find a gem there), but I did find an M 28/2.8 and
a K 50/4 Macro. I shot a few images with the 50 on my Sony A7II and was
pleasantly surprised at the quality of this 1970's era lens. Here's one of the
shots taken at Seattle's Washington Park Arboretum.

I'm unlikely to be able to make it down myself, and it would be
awesome if you and/or other PDMLers could visit at some point and get
some shots. I hope that Ted himself can make it buts he's pretty
elderly and not in the best of health, so I don't know if he will.

Re: Single Malt Scotch. Photography. There's a good combination!

2017-04-18 Thread Daniel J. Matyola
I won't argue with you, Paul. Laphroaig 10 is outstanding, and a very good
value.

Thanks for the tip on Kirkland. Our local Costco does not sell liquor, but
others around do, here in Jersey and, more to the point, on Maui.

Jack,

I am not sure if you intended to send this to the group.
Still, I liked it very much with it intriguing curlyness.
I even imagined a square composition with the right part.
