Re: December PUG is up

thanks RIck!
My faves are Brian's and yours - honest :-)  though Brian's gives me the
creeps - that plane looks like some evil giant insect . Yours is
definitely minimalist because of the broad open space - but whole
gallery is wonderful

Well, I have a fairly good vocabulary, but “carks” was a new one.

"To burden or be burdened with trouble; worry. A worry; a trouble: carks and

I love being on a list that uses Norman French and Middle English words.

Subject: Some pictures from the min-PDML meets on my latest USA roadtrip

Hi all,

During my rather busy and long (4200 miles) roadtrip down, then up the east
coast,
a couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure to meet a few well known list members.

On the way down from Washington to Orlando, I met John Sessoms at his favourite
water hole in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he lives, and we chatted several
hours.
It was a nice interlude in my journey south, John, and very good coffee too!

Later on the way back north, I had the chance to go to NYC (from Long Island)
and visit
Ann Sanfedele in her east village appartment, where Daniel J. Matyola joined us
for
a short walk to one of Annsan's favourite restourants, where we enjoyed a good
lunch.

Annsan and Dan, it was real nice chatting with both of you, admiring the museum
like walls
with photography and other art in 'Chez Ashley' and walking the streets of
Manhattan.

I threw together a small gallery with some pictures related to both mini-PDML
meets at:

https://www.dfsee.com/gallery/lr/usa2019p

Enjoy!

For the really interested, the full roadtrip gallery (450 images) is at:

https://www.dfsee.com/gallery/lr/usa2019a

As a side note, I hope to be at the next GFM weekend next year, and see some
more PDML members!

So am I, which is why I installed Classic Shell as soon as I got a Win 7
computer.

I'm going to stay on Win 7 on my desktop PC probably until it carks. (As an
aside, my laptop still runs Vista and I've not had any security issues with it
even though it's been unsupported for some time.)

The only issue you might have is whether your hardware can support W190, and
checking your upgrade status may tell you that (can't remember, its several
years since I moved on from W7). People say the do not like the interface,

Some pictures from the min-PDML meets on my latest USA roadtrip

2019-12-06 Thread Jan van Wijk

Regards, JvW

I know I'll have to move somewhere when the day no new updates to AV
