PESO 2020 - "Surface" 220-225 - GDG

2020-10-02 Thread Godfrey DiGiorgi
Finally I was able to get out with the Hasselblad 907x for another walk the
other day, between wildfires, smokey air, and extreme heat days...

I fitted up the camera with the ultra wide lens, then went for a two-three mile
walk around the neighborhood with it. Working ultra wide field of view always
takes me some time to settle into, my brain and eyes can't swap between
radically wide and other fields of view so quickly as it can with medium wide
to normal to modest telephoto. I decided to concentrate on the surface textures
of the streets and sidewalks, pushing the dynamic range and detail capabilities
of the camera.

Comments etc always appreciated!

The really good news from this, for me, is that my right shoulder seems to be
healing up nicely with good range of motion and strength. :-)

enjoy!

Just a few days ago I watched a bit of a hoonigan video where someone upwards
of 6'4" got into and drove a 1966 MG midget.

He actually got better than he would have in a Miata.

I'm 180cm (5' 11"), about the same height as my father, and neither of us
(or my younger brother) had any problem fitting in, or driving, our 1970
Ford Escort Estate.

My brother ended up owning that car - when I left home I chose to take my
mother's Morris Minor 1000 Traveller at no cost, rather than purchasing
the Escort at a nominal price.

Quite lovely; Another winner. Those are not the colors one would expect
on this type of insect.

If it were my image, I would clone out the white spot (egg?) along the left
edge, as well as the dark object in the lower left. Perhaps a mild crop
woud accomplish both.

Surprisingly, the car he bought was a smallish one, something like Toyota
