GESO: Doors

2023-03-30 Thread Daniel J. Matyola
For a number of reasons, I was unable to take a new image for the April
PUG, so I decided to review my old image files, to see
what interpretations of that theme I could locate. I settled on an old
favorite image of a door I took years ago, but I also uncovered images that
I had forgotten or that brought back memories.

This gallery then is sort of a *Salon des Refusés, *a collection of those
images rejected for my April PUG entry

The little I have used it so far … results of course look like a mirror lens.
That’s to be expected. It compares favorably to the Tokina & other mirror
lenses that I’ve used in the past. It’s certainly better on the contrast side.

Its big advantage would be for travel where space is a consideration.
Especially going overseas where weight charges might be a concern.

In a couple of weeks I’m going to try to shoot a local nest pair of bald eagles
with it. And I’ll compare it to the F\*300/4.5. Of course the F\* will be
optically way above it. But when it comes to function in the field, that’s a
different question.
