A history question
I know the original K bodies had the s/n on the top housing. The later Asahi bodies had the s/n on a sticker. But in between the s/n was stamped into the base plate metal. The transitions seem slow ...
... but the new HD PENTAX-FA 50mmF1.4 looks like it has improved image rendering over the older FA and its ancestors. And without going the extra “star” or “limited” route for improved imaging.
