Shot from a slightly different angle in that case, though :-) Several other buildings there might have fit, too. I have to admit I'm not 100% sure what these are. I believe lythrum salicaria is what's called kattehale (meaning cat's tail) in Norwegian, and they certainly grow wild in the general area. I think they are native (as opposed to having spread from gardens or whatever.) Anyhow - good set, beautiful valleys. Thanks. - Toralf On 8/1/2014 4:08 PM, Toralf Lund wrote: A handful of snapshots from up in the mountains (as we say): http://se.toralf.net/post/93422282973/fjellet Hope you like them. The goatherd looks lonely. You still have milk churns! Must be 30 years since I saw a milk churn on a British farm. It's all in bulk tanks now. Looks like a wonderful place. Well, I guess we don't really have them here, either, generally. There is some more modern equipment in this place, too, I suppose, but things are still done in a quite traditional way (by the handful of people who still keep livestock there.) Which I rather like. Looks like a wonderful place. Yes, it's really nice. You know, a lot of people around here have some kind of summer residence in mountain areas, but many of their locations have developed from rural areas to something more like towns, and the simple cabins have been replaced with what's more like houses with all modern facilities. This place is not like that. Thanks for looking. - T B On 1 Aug 2014, at 21:08, Toralf Lund tor...@toralf.net wrote: A handful of snapshots from up in the mountains (as we say): http://se.toralf.net/post/93422282973/fjellet Hope you like them.
