Re: GESO - Metropolis

2022-08-28 Thread Toralf Lund

Thanks!

Maybe I could have left the images a bit darker in post processing. I
always find that kind of thing hard to judge. The film is supposed to
give a "desaturated look", or something of that nature.

The gallery thing I'm using wants to scale images to available size
(with borders) and doesn't offer an easy way to zoom in. The thumbnails
at the bottom were supposed to have more direct links to the original,
but sometimes add "frames", too. And maybe the files were also scaled a
bit on upload. Need to have a closer look at everything if I continue to
use this...

looks like the monument to the mand in the middle is eying the
scooter(?) left in font of him

:-)

That's one of those "electric scooters" that seem to be everywhere these
days. They annoy a lot of people, but I think they make nice subjects
sometimes.

Yep. Those are nice places.

The fortress is located behind the ship on the second to last picture,
sort of. In case you wondered.

Ah. Not sure I've watched any of his films in their entirety, but I've
seen some scenes. Didn't think about them when posting, though.

What is the ‘special’ film you used?

The film is actually called Metropolis. Lomography brand. Which I guess
often means a repackaged/rebranded version of something else, possibly
intended for a different purpose, but I think they claim that this one
is actually a new film.

I have been taking B film photos lately, mainly Ilford FP-4, but I have
bought five rolls of Ferrania P30 which promises interesting things.

Nice.

Now I have to find a suitably neo-realist set of subjects.

Exactly. I also got a roll of Lomography Potsdam Kino 100. Might be similar.
