Re: M 24-35/3.5
Oh, I do have some modern lenses for the Sony--the Samyang 35/2.8 and the Sony 28/2 are the main ones. It's just nice to use old glass on these cameras, a body that you can mount both Pentax and Leica lenses on with full frame is something I wouldn't even had dreamed of years ago. j -- Juan Buhler - http://www.jbuhler.com On Thu, Oct 31, 2019 at 3:24 AM Steve Cottrell wrote: > On 30/10/19, Juan Buhler, discombobulated, unleashed: > > >It doesn't look too bad on the A7ii either: > > > >https://photos.app.goo.gl/j8BXPNoaadHwFswb9 > > The lengths some people will go for to submit to the PDML monthly gallery > ;-) > > I would imagine that lens will be quite good for daytime street > photography on the Sony? > > On my MFT Oly Pen F, I either use the Samyang 12/2 or a Voigtlander 15/4.5 > > A lot of broadcast video colleagues use the Sony A7 series as a B camera - > very popular. > > -- > > > Cheers, > Cotty > > > ___/\__UK Shoot / Edit and > || (O) |Live Broadcast News > -- > _ > > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > PDML@pdml.net > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and > follow the directions. > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Thanks Mike--I'm not a pixel peeper either, so I think it will be fine. j -- Juan Buhler - http://www.jbuhler.com On Thu, Oct 31, 2019 at 12:54 AM mike wilson wrote: > > > On 30 October 2019 at 23:04 Juan Buhler wrote: > > > > > > I just got this lens, all the way from Poland, for $130 on eBay. > > > > I'm amazed at how nice it looks on the MX, I wish I had had a copy back > > 15-20 years ago when the MX was my main camera: > > > > https://photos.app.goo.gl/i8fdkTDxE36NpSg7A > > > > It doesn't look too bad on the A7ii either: > > > > https://photos.app.goo.gl/j8BXPNoaadHwFswb9 > > > > With its short focus throw, it seems like a really nice manual lens for > the > > street, for those days when I don't feel like using an AF one. > > > > Anybody have experience with it on digital? > > I think I last used mine on my *ist DS2. M 24-35/3.5
I just got this lens, all the way from Poland, for $130 on eBay. I'm amazed at how nice it looks on the MX, I wish I had had a copy back 15-20 years ago when the MX was my main camera: https://photos.app.goo.gl/i8fdkTDxE36NpSg7A It doesn't look too bad on the A7ii either: https://photos.app.goo.gl/j8BXPNoaadHwFswb9 With its short focus throw, it seems like a really nice manual lens for the street, for those days when I don't feel like using an AF one. Anybody have experience with it on digital? j -- Juan Buhler - http://www.jbuhler.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Re: SMC-M 24-35/3.5 rarity?
Those of us that have 'em seem to like 'em, although those I've seen advertised lately are priced a lot higher than mine was. What I actually wanted was a fixed 24mm, but the 24-35 happened along at the right moment. Shel may have a view on this, but apart from an extra half-stop and a slight loss of weight, my subjective impression is that I wouldn't gain much now by swapping the 24-35 for, say, a K 24/2.8. Any thoughts? Clive. - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions. Hi, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: .my subjective impression is that I wouldn't gain much now by swapping the 24-35 for, say, a K 24/2.8. Any thoughts? For starters; non-rotating front element, dof scale, lighter weight. The first two, for me, are quite major gripes. Not _quite_ enough to make me want to get rid of it, though. mike - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
