Not much to say really. Except that I've had a great weekend of music

 Feel free to comment

All very good shots, but the second one, with the sun on the beautiful
smiling lady's face gets my nod.  Terrific!!

OK. I will

An enjoyable set, especially 1582.jpg and 1568.jpg with those fantastic
rays of sunlight.

I have no idea what comment Jeanette made but I think the toned down
version of 1590.jpg is a little ...er, too much toned down.

Cheers

Thanks Brian.
Jeanettes comment did not suggest the alternative rendering, it was
just a general likes comment. But she made me take a second look at
the picture, then I realised I wanted to try a new take on it.
First I tried BW, but it did not turn out good, so I ended up with
this under saturated look instead.

Thank you for your kind comments folks.
Sorry about the missing GESO/PESO in the subject.

The obsolete camera part made written with tongue in cheek. It's a
K20D, so it aint quite obsolete yet I think.

But next festival I'll probably shoot with a K7 as my main camera
(witch probably will be semi obsolete then).

Two shots at 3200. Lowest ISO was 2000. I've seen worse from a obsolete camera.
Ok there's a vertical stripe in some frames, but I can live with that.

No big problems with ISO 3200. My favorites are 1088 and 1423.

Tim,
That is a really nice set of performance photos.
It catches the atmosphere of the place.
The performers look in focus, and performing for the audience.
The first shot should be an album cover.

You are right. The picture is a bit out of focus. Perhaps I didn't have
enough beer ;-)
(In fact, I don't drink at all while shooting officially like this)

And for those who concern. Codeine is still my best friend. Yesterdays 520
km in the seat of my old Mazda 323 did not make it any better. But I believe
I came back with some nice bird shots (was shooting unoffially).

Thank you for the kind words John.
But I can't really take much credit for the colour balance. You can't
compare these shots with your own directly. This is at an outdoor stage,
with mixed light. All shots displayed here, except imgp2939.jpg, are before
sunset, with a tiny bit of daylight.

where a team of three photographers, shooting wild. We shot jpg, and
 loaded
them directly into a laptop. No time for tweaking. Even though I had
 trouble

 fun.

The selection is made by a web man. The pictures with file name imgp are
mine. When writing this post mine is the 18 pictures at bottom of page.
 Most
of my pictures he has selected is pretty mediocre. I hope the web man
 will
select some other pictures, he has left out my best shots.

Despite of this I do submit the link, as a comment to the threads on
 stage
shooting. All pictures are shot handheld, most of them using a monopod.
 The
monopod is half ejected, placed standing in lens holder placed in my
 belt.
This is pretty stable, but allows me to move fast in crowds. Most of the
close-ups are shot with my new VS1 70-210, mostly manual focus, but my
1,7x AF converter also was handy. The rest is with the fast normal zooms
from Sigma/Tamron, mostly using AF (rock musicians at large stages tend
 to
 move fast and unpredictable).
