I was talking to the Western Canadian Rep yesterday. He is hoping for
end of the year but admits that right now the release date is somewhat
of a moving target. He is finding that Ricoh is much tighter lipped
about this sort of thing than Pentax was.

I also had a look at the new 70-200/2.8 and 150-450/4.5-5.6
They are ginormous lenses. I hope Ricoh knows what they are doing, the
150-450 is a tripod lens, no doubt about it, and well it should be, but
the 70-200 is also in that category,

A colorful and thoroughly enjoyable gallery!

They are all superior images, but my particular favorites are:

Rick Womer's Sidewalk Spring -- interesting, well composed, pleasing
to the eye and totally unexpected!

Jan van Wijk's Spring Below the Sea -- The colors are very well
rendered, especially the ever-difficult deep red, and the image brings
back pleasant memories of of trip to the Netherlands many years ago.

Don Guthrie's Magnolias over Bluebells - I have been trying to
photograph both of these spring treasures over the past two weeks, but
Don has really shown how to do it in a single image that is well
composed with good controll over both the sharply focused objects and
the OoF background.

G'day all

Another great gallery, with more Spring offerings than Autumn. A nice
range of Spring flowers - I especially liked Mark's Trillium and
Ken's Bleeding Heart and I really like Dan's Heart of the Bloom,
but I think my overall favourite this month is Matt's Autumn Morning
with sunlight filtering through light mist.

As usual, you'll find the gallery here:

(you may need to refresh your browser if you see the previous gallery
there).

Note: The automated submission process usually works well but it's not
infallible. So, if you made a submission and you don't see it in the
gallery, let me know.

Thanks, Dan. God knows we could combine our magnolia shots and fill a
good sized book.

I like flowers and I like seasonal change but Ken's Bleeding Heart
stands out in an outstanding PUG.
