Well, I know bugger all about baseball but those are great shots,
especially 1 and 3.

In number 3 I'd be tempted to clone in a ball just entering the
catcher's glove (did I say that out loud?)

Yes they do sort of jump out at you almost 3D. Cloning out blurring ? I
might play with it sometime. Ha! I can't see anything else now that you
mentioned them.

Don,
Nice to have the ball in the first two photos.
Regards, Bob S.

Thanks Bob, I went to the game unprepared so I got as close to home
plate as I could to concentrate on that area and capture the ball and
bat. Sat. I think I will work on the action at 1st or third. I haven't
done sports in years but last week I did bull riding it certainly is a
change of pace from my landscapes. Don

Great ball control

Dave

Thanks Dave. It helped that he threw lots of slow curves. I found it
easy to time him and so did the hitters.

I had to go back and look to see the ball that is, I needed to make
the photo bigger to see it...

Like the first and third better than the middle one...

The third one has really nice geometry... so.. did he hit the ball out
of the park or is it in the catchers glove? Swing and a miss.

ann

Well in photos bigger is often better. The 3rd one was my favorite
because I loved they way they were all lined up and took the photo to
capture just that. Thanks for looking twice. Don

The third shot is a great catch, so to speak. Tell me it was called a ball.

Oh it was a ball - the strikes were all put into the outfield - the
pitcher lasted 3 innings. Don

Brian so glad you liked them, baseball is cricket with half the action
but the games are shorter. I am going to a ball game Sat so maybe I can
get the ball in the glove the old fashioned way. Not that I am above
your method :) Don

if it were mine I think I'd probably not clone them out, but take the tone
right down so that they became more neutral. Feels a bit more ethical that
way.

Three sports pictures taken with my nifty 50 mm manual lens. It was all
