I do like the photo despite it being somewhat oversaturated. I would
like it even better without the guy in the LLH where oversaturation
really shows and biases my perception of the image as a whole. The
colors kinda remind me of what was called the urban acid effect and
was a fad some time ago but they really do work in that setting,
especially when juxtaposed to the rather old looking sign and the
since 1899 which both seem to call for b/w or sepia

That's my problem with so much HDR. I haven't done any myself, so I
don't know if it's just part of the deal, but the colors on HDR images

Frank,
I don't think it make you anti as there is a wide range of processing
techiniques
in the HDR genre.
I agree it is is a bit oversaturated as I also ran it through Topaz Adjust, but
that was kind of the
effect I was after with this one. I like your idea of the TriX-ish rendering
and
will definitely take
you up on it.
Thanks for the feedback.

I really dislike HDR but I think this is an image in which it works
very well (HDR nature photography, for example, really bothers me).
This colorful storefront scene seems to lend itself toward
exaggeration. Someone else suggested it might be a bit too blue, so
perhaps the color balance might be tweaked a bit, but that's a minor
nit.
