It's almost two pictures, really--one of the breakwater and lighthouse, and another of the breakwater and pavilion. Re: PESO - Lighthouse
Nice composition - the position of the gull is just about right too. It's interesting how place names like Half Moon Bay keep reappearing elsewhere for semi-circular shaped coastlines. I know of at least two in Australia and I'm sure there are more. Re: PESO -- LIghthouse Point Sunset Beach
Issues for me are: lighthouse and silhouette trees are not sharp - looks like focus point more on infinity or something very little color - just not enough showing to have much mood - needs a better night or some more work I rather like the composition - worth some further effort, methinks. -- Bruce Tuesday, July 17, 2007, 9:12:41 AM, you wrote: PJA One last shot from Lighthouse point. The lighthouse is a little small in the composition but the rest of the scene is good enough to make for a pleasant print if the resolution can stand being printed large. Elsewise, they'd get blown off those rocky ledges and into the water... g Seriously, I like this one a lot, Bruce. I really like the way you got the light on and the wave at full explosion. Great composition, and the lighting fits the scene (ominous). I like the way dusk has leeched the background of color, so it lays flat and looks like cardboard backdrop. Makes the front stand out in contrast. Well, done. Re: PESO - Lighthouse
Like the foreground, Bruce. The the breaking waves, overall contrast and complimentary tones are a nice look. Lighthouse is a very minor element, but taking the shot with the light visible was a help in locating it. =) Jack --- Bruce Dayton [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Taken at dusk at Muir Beach near San Francisco.
