Re: PESO Snowdrop 2019
Our forsythia in Central Jersey are just beginning to show a bit of yellow; some daffodils have emerged in sunny areas, but in my yard they are still quite a while from blooming, Dan Matyola http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/danieljmatyola On Wed, Apr 3, 2019 at 9:46 PM Rick Womer wrote: > Paul, I look forward to this shot from you every spring. > > We’ve got forsythia and daffodils out now in Philly. > > Rick > > > On Mar 28, 2019, at 2:03 PM, Paul Stenquist > wrote: > > > > https://www.photo.net/photo/18530305/Snowdrop-March-28-2019 > > > > K-1, D FA 100/2.8 macro, f16, 1/160th, ISO 2000 > > > > -- > > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > > PDML@pdml.net > > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and > follow the directions. > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > PDML@pdml.net > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and > follow the directions. > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
Re: PESO Snowdrop 2019
Thanks Rick. No forsythia or daffodils here yet. Paul, I look forward to this shot from you every spring. We’ve got forsythia and daffodils out now in Philly. Re: PESO Snowdrop 2019
The shot requires a macro as shown. I ?The snowdrop is the size of a fingernail. My lens is only a couple oof inches away. The way to nail it would be by focus stacking at f4 or so.But I don’t have time or energy for that. Paul > On Mar 28, 2019, at 8:09 PM, Ken Waller wrote: > > > A longer lens would have helped. Re: PESO Snowdrop 2019
A longer lens would have helped. I've recently started using a close focusing 300 for shots like yours, of course you need a longer working distance which might not have been possible. Of course, if you're going farther with this image you could help it in processing. -Original Message- >From: Paul Stenquist >Subject: Re: PESO Snowdrop 2019 > >Thanks Ken. Re: PESO Snowdrop 2019
Thanks Ken. Couldn’t get less DOF here. As one can see, the rear petals are on the verge of going soft. I would need a bloom that was more separated from the rest of the group. > On Mar 28, 2019, at 4:12 PM, Ken Waller wrote: > > Nice capture but it needs a more OOF background to bring it to the next level. > > > -Original Message- >> From: Paul Stenquist >> Subject: PESO Snowdrop 2019 >> >> https://www.photo.net/photo/18530305/Snowdrop-March-28-2019 >> >> K-1, D FA 100/2.8 macro, f16, 1/160th, ISO 2000 > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > PDML@pdml.net > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow > the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

Nice capture but it needs a more OOF background to bring it to the next level. -Original Message- >From: Paul Stenquist >Subject: PESO Snowdrop 2019 > >https://www.photo.net/photo/18530305/Snowdrop-March-28-2019 > >K-1, D FA 100/2.8 macro, f16, 1/160th, ISO 2000 -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
