My K-1 arrived last night. So far I've only been able to do some quick
checks with the older FA and third party lenses I have on hand, but
everything seems to work well with it. Some notes:

- Size: not as hefty as I was expecting, though still larger than the K3.
The 28-105 lens is pretty small and light, smaller than the DA 17-70 by a
considerable margin. That closes the gap a bit between K-1 + lens and K-3
plus lens.

- FA 20-35 f4 will definitely be usable. I've only done some basic shots
around the house and yard but the first impression is that it is very good
at f5.6 and f8, though with peripheral softness at f4.

- 1st gen Sigma 70-200 f2.8 mounts without issue and test shots are razor
sharp. If it holds up well in the flare dept it I'll be more than satisfied
with it.

- FA 50 f1.7 also looks fine - I get some CA with this lens wide open on the
K3 so still have to test that.

- Verdict is out on the Tokina SD ATX 400. I stepped outside to do some
brick wall tests and some crows showed up and mugged for the camera.
Results are not as crisp as I've gotten with this lens on the K3 but the
light was pretty bad, I was shooting hand held in a pretty stiff breeze and
the crows kept fidgeting.

Four Sample shots are here:

The first shot is image #1 taken with the camera, using the 28-105 lens,
uncropped.

The next three crow shots were taken with the Tokina ATX 400. Crow in the
tree is uncropped, the others were cropped about 50%.

New Pentax camera, compulsory cat picture.

Very nice pictures they are too, although going out in the cold didn't look
fun. The K1 is a great camera (aside from the desire to buy expensive glass
for it), and I very much look forward to seeing more photos from you.
