Re: PESO -- Good Morning Sunshine

2005-08-25 Thread P. J. Alling
There were actually quite a few sunflowers in the field, but none with
the smaller flowers, (I'm not sure if they were buds or not), on either
side. In fact the less than perfect condition of the flower was what
first attracted my attention to this particular bloom.

that the center sunflower is a little worse for wear... I know it's
what was there.

I never realized until yesterday, that a sunflower is made up of
hundreds of tinier flowers (does that make it a composite?). Each
tiny flower coming out of the 'butt-end' of an individual sunflower seed.

Pretty flower! ;-)

No, actually, that's nice. It's almost an abstraction of a sunflower. Nice
composition.

I like it! Composition is well chosen.
Petals appear very soft. Your choice(?)

I usually use the default sharpness setting when converting to TIFF. My
focus may be a bit off though the full size image shows a great deal of
relatively sharp detail in the center of the flower. I added a bit of
USM but enough to make the petals sharp produced an over-sharpend look
to the rest of the image.

Very nice composition. Well done.

Then I would have, also, chosen the softer image.
