The installation killed Winamp. The program opens, but I can't play
anything.

Device not found error.

Thanks.

The laptop is not going to be upgraded. Nvidia doesn't make a Windoze 10
driver for it & there's no way to change the video card.

I've still got one desktop to go.

I can mostly adapt, but there are certain features of the interface that
give me eye strain & headaches. I'm trying to find a way to change them
- either back to what worked or to something that doesn't hurt.

Well, my 4th attempt was a floppy too. I've decided to stick with Win 7. 
Every time I tried to upgrade, it downloaded the files (about 3Gig) but 
shortly after starting to install it began downloading again, ending up with 
6Gig (a double download?) after which it said installation failed. Error 
codes 80240055 and 80200010. I tried all the "fixes" I could find on the web 
without success. For the money I have wasted on data I could have had a nice 
lens. As you said, It's not installed and *I AM PISSED OFF!*

I downloaded Classic Shell, so I've got the Start Menu working again.
"Classic Explorer" is supposed to fix Windoze Explorer, but so far no joy.

Everything still looks like Google Chrome (or maybe it's like the
DOS-Shell from the days of Windoze 1.0) .

Anyway, it hurts my eyes & I'm already getting a headache.

It's impossible to update an OS and not run into the occasional glitch. 
Classic shell is designed to make Windows look like an older version. 
It's not compatible from one OS to the next, so it would be useless on 
the new OS without downloading it again anyway.


It's quite a rant over a very non existent problem.
