seems this is a moot point, im on 10.11.6 and i need atleast 10.12 or higher. I've been using Malwarebytes for years, both on my computer and my phone. It's caught a few things before they slip through. What I like about it as an anti-virus is it looks for virus like activity, so it isn't necessarily playing the whack a mole game that a lot of them play.
