Re: The correct use for a piano

2014-05-06 Thread Chris Mitchell
Good stuff. When I was young I did a bit of cyclo cross racing. I just
put knobbly tyres and a gear set with a much lower ratio on my road
bike. That's what everyone did then - there was no such thing as a
mountain bike in the early 70s.

Hope the Roberts is a bit cleaner next time I see it!

Here are some shots, including some from Tuesday last week showing what to

Here's the cycle track I recorded as we made our way around:
 http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/sarsen-trail-2014

We both did the trail on road bikes, and saw probably no more than half a
dozen other road bikes out of the hundreds that were there. One guy did it
on a fixie, which was pretty impressive, especially as he overtook us
climbing up a hill. It was really not a mountain bike ride, much more suited
to a road bike with knobbly tyres, and one roadie said as he passed us At
 last - some proper bikes!.

It was a doddle, really. Apart from the nuclear minefield.

Here's the website. At some point the results and photos will be up. I think
they might be trying to publish the results now, as the server seems to be
down - it was up earlier.

Cleaned it yesterday. Oiled everything, greased everything, changed the brake
blokes. Put 25mm slicks on. Forget to put the mudguards on. Woke up this
morning and it was raining, of course.
