Re: ot time machine question

2020-07-06 Thread Godfrey DiGiorgi
If you have the installer download file, just archive it along with your codes.
That's actually what I have done with all my Adobe software: rendered the
CD/DVD originals to Disk Image files and saved them in my software archive
along with all the installation codes. Takes up a lot less space on the shelf
and is a lot easier to find when needed. :)

Re: ot time machine question

2020-07-06 Thread Godfrey DiGiorgi
Dave,

Time Machine should have the most recent installed version in the latest
backup. That said, I have not had much success reinstalling Adobe applications
via Time Machine. Their installation is complex and involves some
authentication files and links that they create in various locations on the
system book volume. For this reason, you should always keep a copy of the
original Adobe installer along with your authentication key in the event that
you need to do a re-install of LR or PS, or any other Adobe software.

For this reason, as a practical matter it's not important what Time Machine is
storing when it comes to Adobe applications.

Well, good, but it doesn't sound healthy that it too multiple tries to
open the Time Machine preferences. There may be more issues with your
