There's two I know of in CA and I doubt either is available. Pretty large beasts, and quite extreme in style - not for everyone. The colors are usually muted from accumulated cigarette smoke and other filth over the decades, so careful cleaning can really make them pop. [Phono-L] interesting old paper from 1955
This was run by Rev. Kishpaugh, the man my father used to write to. The Rev. was way ahead of his time. Boy, did he know phonographs...used to give Pop advice. Notice that it says that the “rare Regina Hexaphone” will be on display. Reading is a little tough, but with a magnifying glass it can be done. It was a pretty small paper. Fun find (on flickr, taken in 2008), but I don’t know what I did with it after I took the photo. Well now, I have a good cabinet with no guts but I have the motor, resistors, turntable.. and a horn that would need to fitted.The tone arm pops up on ebay. When I thought I might finish it tone arms were going for stupid money but not now. I do have a tone arm but it is incorrect. I believe it was made with generic parts. I am not motivated but but by the same token I'll never finish it. If you have a bit of skill it would be a great project. I would be inclined to sell it only as a cabinet and throw the parts into the mix so we have an understanding. The motor works BTW. The lamp is in the cabinet, no top as usual, so is the wooden arm for the lid. I can get you about 90% there. The polychrome is not bright nor strong but I have not tried to clean it. I will sell it when I'm retired or if there is an interest now. They are not hard to sell so now or later. I did have to pay for the cabinet. Union is coming up!
