Unfortunately, https://storm.canonical.com/ is pointing to the wrong
place for the storm mailing list; the https://launchpad.net/storm
development from page points to the correct place:

  https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/storm

and should not require a login.ubuntu.com SSO to sign on.

Go to storm.canonical.com and scroll down to the community section. There are
links to the sign on page for their fascist identification system that serves
as a gateway to the mailing list.

I'm sure they would love to mark you down as another ubuntu user for
advertising purposes.

'Cause it ain't dere. Logins are on the right margin, third block down where
it say 'User.'

Didn't occur to me to look 'cause I don't recall needing to log in anywere
else to reach a Mailman page.

Feh! Logged in and the result of clicking the Mailman link is still,
"OpenID failed Unknown user". PITA.

Ben,

I keep missing that:

"Community

"The Storm mailing list is publicly available at:
https://lists.canonical.com/mailman/listinfo/storm

"There is also a #storm IRC channel on irc.freenode.net; stop by and chat! We
have a PublishBot up and running."

So? They can probably scrape names from any web site and list them as ubuntu
users, too.

Thanks,

Rich

Paul,

Yesterday I discovered that I had one for some reason. Yet, clicking on the
link to the Mailman page didn't ask for a login and neither did the text on
the Storm page.

Thanks,

Rich

Rich,

It looks like you need an Ubuntu Single Sign-On (aka Ubuntu One)
account to join a Canonical mailing list. Did you sign up for such an
account?

[PLUG] Canonical Mailman page not reachable

The canonical web site has only enterprise-level technical support and the
Storm ORM is not among the choices available for contacting.

Suggestions for reaching that sign-up page also would be helpful.
