I've switched on d_plugins, and the ShutdownServer plugin hasn't registered anything yet in the log file. On the web ui it's not listed under the home page or Player Settings Menus options. It's only listed under server settings plugins where you set the script location. You can then set the shutdown time from the SB itself from plugins shutdown server. Do you see this menu on your SB? Just posted LastFM v2.1.0 at http://www.jamescraig.co.uk/SlimServer New in this version: * Start playback of any station from saved address: A saved address matching lastfm://*.mp3 starts only the default station, but custom stations, e.g. lastfm://group/slimscrobbler will start on the specified station. * Similar artists search from web interface: I've added the search box seen at http://last.fm/listen to the web interface. You can add the resulting station to saved favourites or start playback directly, just like the other station input. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: [REQ] Turn off PC
thanks john. aubuti, let me know whether you can find the option as john suggests. I like to have quite a clean squeezebox interface (for WAF!), so I normally remove the plugins menu from each of the player menus. I then manually add the ShutdownServer to each player via the web interface, by going in to Player Settings for xxx Menus. You should see the ShutdownServer option listed here at the bottom of the screen (you might need to scroll down). This should make it appear as a top level menu on each player via the remote control. Otherwise John is correct if you have the Plugin menu visible via the remote control on each player you should see the ShutdownServer plugin visible under here. -- kefa Mac OS X 10.4.8, Slimserver 6.5.0, Netgear DG834GT fw V1.02.04 Squeezebox 3 fw 64, Primare SPA20, Monitor Audio GR20 Squeezebox 2 fw 64, Denon UD-M30 SoftSqueeze, Cyrus 3, Monitor Audio R90 kefa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=421 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30041 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: [REQ] Turn off PC
Thanks again for your help. Unfortunately, the menu for setting the shutdown time doesn't show. It just has the description of the plugin, the setting for the script location, and then it goes on to the settings for the next plugin (see attached screenshot, if I managed to upload it correctly). I've changed the /etc/sudoers and script files so they look like John's. grep'ing the log file for shut (case-insensitive) still only yields 2 lines with the ShutdownServer plugin, as before. I'm suspecting that the plugin isn't getting along well with other plugins I have. For example, the Auto Dim plugin was suddenly showing up twice on the plugins list at the top of Server Plugins, and Shutdown Server would not appear in that list. And the start of the Shutdown Server menu below said Auto Dim Display, followed by the description of the Shutdown Server script and the menu for specifying the script location. I had to delete the Auto Dim plugin to get it to look like it does. I can try to start debugging plugin incompatibilities by getting rid of all of them, see if I get the proper behavior for Shutdown Server menus, and then add them back in one at a time. If you have ideas about likely incompatibilities that could help me do that more quickly please let me know. I think your firewall is too enthusiastic - it should not close a link down because a segment is outstanding for 25 secs - in audio streams with buffering this is too short. Furthermore I think you TCP parameter tweaking may have made things worse. Can you reset the TCP parameters back to defautl and disable or extend the firewall timeout. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29511 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
