well, depends. Sometimes I draw them, sometimes I make collages of
pieces.
E.g. the VU Meters style is made of parts of pictures taken googling
VU meters, and then there is a part of the front panel of my Yamaha
Receiver. Plus a piece of a googling for display (the red one).

Many others are completely drawn by me, so the copyright is mine :)

I see the name of my SB server if swiping right but I can't select it
(nothing happens when I click on it).

I actually can't reach the SB server through Safari, this strikes me as
very odd. According to my router the iPod has 192.168.1.110 (Safari
works fine with other sites) so basic LAN/WAN is ok.

I did try without the http://;, no difference.

If you can't reach your server through Safari, something's wrong with

The router is a dual-band router so there's one g-network and one
n-network. As far as I know the iPod Touch doesn't support 802.11n so it
should never touch the n-network. I did try after disabling the
n-network, same result.

I do not use static IPs, it's all DHCP.

Well this is quite embarassing but I just solved my dilemma and it's not

Hi, I like to use the duet controller as a info stick, so the mail
plugin is fab. Things that will make it even better :) in order of
preference

mail appears on the controller in reverse order, so the latest mail
is off screen. Can the order be reversed. There is a vertical scroll
but as its a screensaver, can't scroll.

Can't seem to disable the custom clock. Un Clicking all 'show in
state' makes no difference.

It would be great if mail used full width of the screen. currently
uses ab out 2/3 on the rhs

cheers best wishes

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iTunesUpdate plugin not working on 7.4

2010-02-23 Thread netchord

sorry for the delay in coming back to this, i recently switched
computers, and had to go through the process again, which did go
smoother this time. i think the key is to do everything inexactly the
order the instructions suggest, and even then, you will have to force
install. the subsequent tests will still fail, but the plugin will
work, at least that's been my experience.

in the prior instance, i ended up deleting the plugin, install logs,
and just starting over. that system was OS 10.5.8, this is OS 10.6.2,
not sure if that should make a difference.

also, although the instructions are not clear on this point, the dev
tools are in fact the xcode tools, and you need to run the full xcode
installer from the install CD.

here's the output from the force install, after which the plugin does
work:

As SqueezePlay is now under a different license erland could 'borrow'

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] MusicIP Integration--At A Loss

2010-02-23 Thread Wirrunna

Ultraviolet, I run a similar setup to yours but with MIP running as a
gui (XP SP3).
Music in F:\SqueezeCentre Music, which has two shortcuts - Music from F
and Music from G - the shortcuts point at F:\Music and G:\Music2. Within
these two directories are a bunch of other directories - F:\Music\FLAC -
new, F:\Music\FLAC from Broulee, etc - and within these directories the
usual Artist, Album, Track structure.
Have you tried running MIP as a GUI rather than headless?

I have never bothered to run MIP headless for two main reasons, the
first being that I make mixes in MIP, save them and then run an only
scan playlists in SB server, and secondly it just seemed a bit
complicated.

this one is to play with VU Meters in the touch version
I don't know if the VU Meter hand is good in this way or not, let me
 know any correction.

I'd suggest that you focus on styles without VU Meters until I've tried
to implement it. I should have enough VU Meter graphics now to be able
to test it.

Apparently the CPU on the Radio isn't able to handle VU Meters
according to Logitech sources, for the Touch we know it works but I'm
not yet sure if the Touch CPU will be able to able to handle both clock
information and VU Meters on the same screen.

I think the issue is drawing stuff with a high frame rate, so if
someone has an idea of VU meter functionality that doesn't need high
frame rate that should probably work also on the Radio.

Your VU meter graphics looks really great by the way.

Also, regarding clock hand/pointer images, it's good if they are made
so the point which the hand should rotate around is in the center of the
image because currently I just rotate the image around its center. The
style can place the hand image anywhere on the screen, but it's always
rotated around its center. So typically the hand image should be a
smaller than the complete screen. I saw that the hand images you
posted yesterday seemed to be a image that covered the whole screen
which result in that the hand wasn't centered on the image. The same
thing will also apply to the VM Meter hand/pointer images.

I might possibly add functionality so you can specify the rotation
point in the style some time in the future, especially if we get
performance problem rotating large images. However, at the moment I'll
just rotate them around the image center point.

I'm sure someone can fix your hand images you posted earlier if you
prefer to focus on making more new styles.
