There is no reason to have that error from the HTML file, except
something got "corrupted" inside LMS. These lines of code are simply
displaying a dropdown box with "Yes" or "No"

So that should work ... can you send me a server.log extract (not an

If I hit Ctrl-G I get to a settings page with Theme / Color /
Application layout / Larger font / Stop button / *Volume step */
keyboard shortcuts etc.

Volume step selects the step when clicking on the Vol up or Vol down
with the mouse. I think it would make sense that it also set the steps
when using Ctrl-VolUp

I'm very happy with green... Whilst we're on the subject of colours
would it be possible to extend the colours to have black (coloured
toolbars) and black as an optional colour?

You can add custom entries to Material's main menu via a JSON file - see
'Custom menu entries' in
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CDrummond/lms-material/master/README.md

So, for instance creating "prefs/plugins/material-skin.actions.json"
with:

Code:

  {
  "system":[
  {
  "title":"Restart LMS",
  "command":"/home/user/scripts/restartlms"
  }
  ],
  }

will add a "Restart LMS" entry to the main menu. When this menu entry is
triggered, "/home/user/scripts/restartlms" will be executed on the LMS
server - so place the restart command, etc, in that script.

Thanks ! I think an additional option would be best.

I have to say that Material is a brilliant feature!

Having said all that, I'll add a 'larger icons' option for 1.5. This
will increase icon size from 24px to 28px, and button size from 36px to
40px. Not sure if this should be a separte option, or combined with the
larger fonts option.

I'll try that, and play around with it a bit more. TBH, I'm having quite
a few issues between iPeng and my car stereo, mostly related to resuming
after an interruption. I think its because I'm using CarPlay and iPeng
is not a CarPlay app. I've being similar issues with other apps too, so
it may even be CarPlay. Still trying to get my head around what is
actually happening.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin

2020-03-11 Thread Michael Herger

However, I have a problem with song titles that involve a slash ("/")
which is of course not permitted in Unix/Linux file names.

When a slash character is present in the song titles, it means that MAI
will search for lyrics for quite a long time, and for some strange
reason, it tends to make my system less responsive afterwards.

Could you please enable info logging for plugin.musicartistinfo
(Settings/Advanced/Logging), try to bring up infos for such a song, then
provide your full server.log.zip:

https://www.dropbox.com/request/T3RctyzGgNg0oFDubq6a

Is that an option that can be considered for implementation in a future
version of MAI?

I'd consider it a bug if it eg. started searching from the root of your
file system because of that slash...

The problem is the transition. Not sure how much is switching the server
or dropping the wifi connection and picking up cellular. This a real
issue when leaving home in the car. As I leave, the music starts fine
and I'm connected to my wifi. As I drive away, the music stops. It seems
the only way I can get it to start again is to kill the app, restart it
and reconnect to the external server and press play. Not ideal when

BTW any chance of CarPlay support?

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Music & Artist Information plugin

2020-03-11 Thread Jens Erik Jensen

Hi, I am a happy and grateful user of the LMS MAI plugin. Thank you for
developing and maintaining it.

I now have LMS running on a Raspberry Pi 4B with piCorePlayer - moved
from a model 3B last week, and the speed difference is really
impressive.

One solution is to replace the slash character in song titles by e.g. a
dash, but that is awkward in some situations, where the slash comes more
natural af part of the name. At least in my language.

So, from my perspective it could be great, if MAI could replace a slash
character in songtitles with e.g. a dash "-" when looking up song
lyrics, be it via the web or locally stored text files. And of course
use the dash character in the file names stored locally.

Is that an option that can be considered for implementation in a future
version of MAI?

All the icons are the *same* size. What's so special about home? I'm not
going to have 1 button larger than the others. I'm also not keen on
another size setting => more code, more variants to check.

When in the bowse tab, clicking on 'Browse' in the bottom navigation
will go back, long press will go home. These are much larger targets
than the sub-toolbar buttons. Perhaps you should use those?

Sorry for another question. As I said earlier, I've manually added the
external IP address of my server to ipeng. The problem is that iPeng
keeps detecting the the server locally and switching to it when I'm
home. Is there any way to get it to stay with the external version?

Thanks again
