Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
For the 1.7.0 release of Material I want to add player icons. To facilitate with this, I'd like to map the icons for SqueezePlayer on Android (I have SB Player already) and iPeng's player. So, can someone who has SqueezePlayer or iPeng's player installed please tell me what Material shows for "Model" and "Type" in its information dialog for these - I can then use these to map to a relevant icon. Thanks. *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
For a future, 1.7, release of Material I want to show icons for the various players. Would it be possible for Squeezelite-X to set the modelname of its squeezlite instance to SqueezeLiteWin? You can do this via the "-M" commandline argument (e.g. "-M SqueezeLiteWin"). Doing so would allow me to show a windows icon for this player instance. Nothing in squeezelite needs changing, just this commandline argument added. *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Alternatively, is there a > command line to restart the internal squeezelite in your app, so that I > could automatize it? The squeezelite player software uses the portaudio library to select an output device. If none is selected you get "default" according to portaudio. If you select 'Default' in SLX, then I just don't specify the -o squeezelite option, so you get its default. The portaudio library and thus squeezelite's default is not what you have selected as your Windows default device. You get a lowest common denominator that is not likely to be the best one. On my machine, choosing Default gets me the old MME API, not DirectSound or WASAPI, etc. So, I recommend that you choose the device you want and the API you want rather than choose Default. On my machine, the DirectSound API provides the best quality it seems to me. I'm not sure what it looks like on your machine, but on my machine I see an output device called "Primary Sound Driver (Windows DirectSound)". I have been assuming that this is the equivalent of the Primary Sound as you have defined it in Windows. You might try that if your goal is to use the primary sound driver you have defined in windows. Same issue with authentication Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.3 - 1589743826 Windows 10/Windows Server 2019 Looked at the server log file, and there are some errors but I am not sure if they are relevant to this problem. This is a weird problem I've been ignoring on one of my two Windows 10 machines up until now. I expect it's a quirk of this machine and something has installed a font that is clashing with the intended icon. The maximize button displays as either 1 or 2 depending on the window state: NORMAL WINDOW: 30358 MAXIMIZED: 30357 Do you know what font should be being used for that so I can track down the rogue one? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SuperDateTime Screensaver v5.11.0 - Date/Time/Weather/Sports/Stocks
For my devices I wanted to have a weather forecast. There are many posts, but they are all old and not functional or too complicated. I did this (summary from various contributions): 1. Enabled in the "old" LogitechMediaServer-x86_64-7.9.2-168.0029 SDT and Custom Clock Helper. Code: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/sdt-weather-com/repo.xml The Custom Clock Helper does not run (yet) with the new LogitechMediaServer-x86_64-8.0.0-1588308753, but with the old one. 2. Now update to version 8 (The Custom Clock Helper now also works with version 8 ! ) With the Custom Clock Helper I imported a new style, from here: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?68269-Announce-Custom-Clock-applet-for-Touch-Radio-Controller/page60 Code: File Type: txt SDT Big Weather 4days Alarm Centigrade cb - radio.txt The result for the "SB-Radio" looks like this: ]30354 I am satisfied with that. Now you have to upgrade the touch and the controller.;) Greetings +---+ |Filename: 1_IMG_6780.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=30354| +---+ thueri01's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70221 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112122 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Material Skin is blank in browser on Android
Tried letting the app run on 4.4 - but only a blank screen is shown. Same happens with Samsung browser, and Fully-Kiosk. I'm guess the WebView shipped with 4.4 does not support Chrome, and is so old Material does not work with it. *But* Kiwi browser does install, and Material works fine. This is preferable to Chrome - you can use this to add to homescreen, and it does not show the insecure site warning that Chrome does. This would be my recommended route for such an old device. *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] SuperDateTime Screensaver v5.11.0 - Date/Time/Weather/Sports/Stocks
I'm new here and I want to introduce myself. I am from Germany and 60 years old. My English is not so good, so I often take the translator. I use LMS on a Synology DS718+ and have an "SB-Radio", a "SB-touch" and a "SB-Controller". The devices are relatively cheap at ebay-Kleinanzeigen in germany. In the 1st post it is not allowed to use links. I hope it goes on right away... in the 2nd post.;) Matthias thueri01's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70221 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112122 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
[SlimDevices: Plugins] Where / how to install mpg123 on high sierra
Apologies for this very basic question I'm a long-time (since slimp3 days) non-techie user. I've recently updated LMS and am using the superb squeezelite / localplayer option. I understand that I need to install mpg123 in order to play mp3 tracks but I can't - despite much searching - work out how to... I think that I maybe need some additional mac software to install it such as brew...? I followed the instructions on macappstore mpg123 I've downloaded mpg123-1.25.13 from [mpg123 dot de I then ran the code in terminal but it returned -bash:command not found- I don't really understand where I need to install mpg123.. I also tried from the LMS advanced settings for localplayer where it says: -To support mp3 playback you should install the mpg123 codec for osx. This can be installed from the rudix project (direct links: Snow Leopard, Lion/Mountain Lion).- But the direct links come up broken and on the rudix page I can't see an mpg123 file... Once again apologies for the very basic question but I'd appreciate any pointers / help. I'll look into it. I think the issue relates to finding the earliest playing point in MPEG2-TS encoded HLS service. This services has an embedded metadata stream as well as an audio one. There is an update nearly ready for services with multiple streams but it handled a different symptom. However it may be the related as this service is different by being very fast 256kbps.. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It starts playing immediatley for me too, but the content is from about 30 minutes ago, if I use the same link on VLC player on my PC, I get the correct timed live stream. I have now installed PlayHLS V1, and with that it works correct, must be some sort of seekable stream issue, on DR's Android Radio app, you can actually rewind the live streams about 1/2 hour. Thank you for a great plugin, it is a real joy to be able to listen to these streams on my Squeezeboxes :-) Best regards Bo bpa wrote: > It plays immediately for me. > > Do you mean it take 30 minutes for the stream to start playing or the > stream is playing music from 30 minutes ago ?
