Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
The TIDAL menu is provided by the server and configuring it is a per-player-setting. You can configure this on the MySqueezebox.com web site. One thing that often can cause issues is if SqueezeLite for some reason has a wrong MAC address set. Anyway this is not an iPeng issue, I think the best question to ask is in the MySqueezebox.com subforum. --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and Logitech UE Smart Radio as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com *New: iPeng 9, the Universal App for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch* pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

First of all. Great app which I use to control LMS through Android. With this new LMS 8 and the feature "online music library integration" there is an option to put the streaming service logo on top of album artwork. I would love if this feature will also become available in this app. Note: All other new LMS features are working very well in this app. Living Room: piCorePlayer 5.0.0 on rPi 3B+ & Allo DigiOne & 1TB USB (LMS 8.0.0 & Squeezelite) & Keces DC-116, Mutec MC-3+ Smart Clock, Rega DAC R, Rotel RB-1070, Rotel RC-1070 or Fezz Titania Signature, Klipsch Forte III Bedroom: Boom / Workspace: Boom / Kitchen: Radio schiff1108's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64153 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Today, I have upgraded to picorePlayer v6.0.0 Only after the upgrade this warning message appears in red under the LMS tab of the picoreplayer web application. While I understand things about databases, I am wondering whether the situation has technical changed from v5 to v6 and how big the risk is to really break the database. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Spicefly Sugarcube on Raspberry Pi using Dynamic Path Conversion
I recently installed LMS 7.9.2 on a new Raspberry Pi 4. I wanted to still be able to use MusicIP and discovered that you can have MusicIP running on a different server from LMS by using spicefly sugarcube and the DPC option. So I have a Windows 10 PC running MusicIP and setup spicefly to send the request to the MusicIP PC for the next track . Unfortunately, I get an error that says "MusicIP Failed" and so spicefly just adds a random track. Here is what I have and have done: On the Raspberry Pi, I have an external USB drive that contains the LMS library. The folder containing the tracks is sharable using Samba and MusicIP on the PC is pointing to this folder. As a test, I created a MusicIP mix on the PC successfully. On the Pi, I setup DPC as shown below. I have also attached the server log file that shows the activity as well as the error message. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Squeezelite-X
Just submitted version 2.6.21 to the store. Changes: - Version update of Chromium library. - Tweaks/fix to SLX's handling of minibrowser to work with Material Skin's new color themes. - SLX will default the -M (Player Model) switch to set it to "Squeezelite-X". This had been removed a long time ago due to issues that ickStream had with it, but ickStream is gone, so I have added this back. This will allow Material Skin to use particular player icon for SLX players. -M can be overriden by specifying the -M switch if some other plugin has a problem not recognizing "Squeezelite-X" - R Greg Dawson Squeezelite-X rgdawson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=65236 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108550 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Well, in that case, I guess this is not a problem any longer. :) So, I'll have SLX default to Player Model of "Squeezelite-X". If someone has a problem with something similar to whatever ickStream's problem was they will me able to override the -M switch by specifying it themselves. I'm assuming you already/also will handle squeezelite's own default of "SqueezeLite" for those that run it independently. I'm thinking the icon would look the same as the one you have for SqueezeLite, but a different color? Or a Windows Icon? Or are you even using colors? I don't know. I'll think on that. I believe that squeezelite sets Player Model to 'SqueezeLite'. At one time, SLX would use the -M switch and set Player Model to Squeezlite-X (-M Squeezelite-X), but a user reported that it caused the ickStream plugin to consider it unsupported (see post #489), so I removed it, and let it go with 'SqueezeLite'. If I used the -M option to set Player Model to 'SqueezeLiteWin' I expect that ickStream will not work with it, as it apparently used that value to determine if the player is supported by ickStream. Seems like ickStream should be using the Player Type, but it apparently uses Player Model. So that is my problem. For the 1.7 release of Material I plan on adding player icons. As part of this I'd like to be able to add custom pCP and Bluetooth icons. The easiest way to accomplish this would be for pCP to use "-M SqueezeLitePCP" and "-M SqueezeLiteBT" when invoking squeezelite. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] LMS-lite certified Smart Home skill for Alexa
I have developed a (beta) account-linking concept which allows for *auto-updating* changed ngrok tunnel details when your ngrok machine reboots. It even supports multiple tunnels potentially used with multiple LMS servers (as deployed in the latest beta version of my -Squeeze- test-skill). When you account-link for the first time, the account-linking page displays a unique *cryptographic key* that you can copy in order to subsequently refer to 'your' skills (both LMS-Lite and MediaServer). This key is pasted into a small Python3 script that uses the requests library to retrieve your current ngrok tunnel(s) from the :4040 web portal for ngrok. Via that unique key, the skill then updates with your latest tunnel details -without- having to re-link the skill. Yaay! That script can be set to run on a cron schedule or upon reboot (which is actually sufficient). For security, it only updates the tunnel subdomain and _not_ your -auth details so an assumption is made that you maintain the same -auth when your server reboots (which is a safe bet). If you do not want to use this new feature, a check-box can be unticked at the time of linking the skill and the current scheme is then used unmodified. That makes Alexa responses a tiny fraction faster (100ms) due to slightly less latency in the skill flow. I'm in the process of writing the docs for this but I have a question for the LMS community. Is it a problem that the companion script is written in Python3 (and needs two Pip3 installs) ? Wouldn't Python be pretty standard on the machines people are using as ngrok proxy? Or would it be better to have a version in Perl with 2 CPAN installs (WWW:Mechanize or LWP::UserAgent and JSON::XS) ? I know Perl is standard on the LMS machine but if people are using RPi's for ngrok then Python is likely more popular on the Pi. It could also be done in nodejs with no extra npm modules but I guess nobody has that installed as standard ...
