Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Adding to my previous post. I am running LMS 7.9.3-1591161343 After a reboot I have been able to return to "default" interface, but Music IP remains unsupported and Tunein Radio has vanished. Any suggestions appreciated. It's a mystery to me. rivrwing's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31626 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
After thinking about it for a long time I have finally switched from The LMS classic interface to Material Skin (I hate to change anything that "works"). I can see immediately that there is much good to like in Material Skin (thank you). I would be grateful for help with one issue I cannot figure out. When selecting "More" from the context menu on any music track I no longer see "Create Music IP Mix", and I cannot find any way to enable it. (This issue also leaves me fearful of rescanning my library in case LMS also no longer can find my Music IP Library). This is extremely important for me, any help figuring this out is appreciated! Note: I tried to revert to the classic and default interfaces to regain Music IP Mix ability and those interfaces no longer appear anything like they previously did, very odd, seems no choice but to use Material Skin and figure it out. Also: Much less important to me is that Tune In Radio has also "disappeared". It appears in the server settings menu, but can no longer be found on the plugins page, nor can it be found in the material skin home page. Thanks in advance, i know somebody can help me figure out the Music IP issue with Material Skin. rivrwing's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31626 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'm happing to do any further testing incase it's other combinations of plugins, etc. As I said, PlayHLS all still works for me, it's just the case of the empty playlists when I do a full rescan (which is not something I tend to do too often) Cheers kidhazy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=42259 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103158 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I don't know the Pi hardware but often circuitry has one master clock and other devices uses this clock and divide it down according to their needs. The frequency of this clock can affect what playing rates are available. I suspect the tweak may have resulted in a non-strandard clock frequency which didn't give an accurate clock for 48kHz streams. Good audio board often have their own crystal & clocking (add costs). IIRC The old SB3 player has two crystals: one for 44.1kHz and another for 48kHz. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

PlayHLS looks for m3umu8 extension as it is ambiguous - it can be an m3u ordinary playlist or a HLS playlist - the only is by looking inside so plugin has to be the preferred handler of m3umu8. Is there some setting I need to adjust? What format is being played DASH, HLS or MP3 ? Regardless of format there should be no reason for this - the speed of playback is determined by the rate of consumption by the audio stream playback device. There will be a delay at start which can vary according to format but delay should not increase unless your player has a slow clock . However for DASH there is a setting which is really no longer needed unless you have a low powered system. "Delay to start live stream" - can be set to "no delay". BBC stream audio at 48kHz. If this stream was played back at 44.1kHz instead of 48kHz - the added time after 2h13m would be about 10min If you stop and restart the stream - is the delay back to a few secs. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'm running LMS 8.0.0 on Synology NAS so no Spotify on system. (Frankly not sure I would be willing trying "messy" workaround solution on NAS even if there was one) I still don't know where you got that "messy workaround" from. But Spotify closed the request to add support for folders as "wont fix" two years ago: https://github.com/spotify/web-api/issues/38 Here's the tool I wrote to export the folder information from a Spotify installation and transfer it to Spotty: http://www.herger.net/spotty/findSpotifyFolderFiles.zip It's a Windows executable. IIRC you'd call it like findSpotifyFolderFiles.exe yourserver:9000 Where you put your server's IP or name as "yourserver", and the correct port as you're using it to access the web UI. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

To test and get functionality working just get an "arecord" working at a shell prompt with your input device and saving to a file in CD format. The lyrics on the site itself are corrupt! Sorry for wasting your time. I can attach a log file if you like, but not sure it'll help much. http://www.chartlyrics.com/J4FpUPT2DEyAENuYwhEA4Q/Real+World.aspx *Material debug:* 1. Hmmm... But if it is genius.com, "" seems OK according to https://www.codetable.net/hex/27 - should not all hex encoded characters be decoded? I did force Genius at some point, and the encoding was correct. Tried the other two, too. But only chartlyrics exposed a problem. You could delete the cached file you'd find in your lyrics folder under the artist's name, then try to get lyrics again with debugging enabled for plugin.musicartistinfo. That would hopefully dump the original response to the log file. -- Michael ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

May need to be creative - cheap or 2nd hand DAC & > old 2nd hand RPi1or 2 may be enough. its a linux install that uses 2 x 7.1 usb sound cards to create 16 mono virtual sound cards and runs upto 16 squeezelite instances as players (no VMs), along with my 10 real hardware players to integrate into loxone home automation - unfortunately i cant fiddle with the setup as its a complete product and tends to break easily i used to have a wired line-in phono cable working with a single sound card but the 2nd card seems to stop any wavin working - it just gives me silence, and now the record player cant be near the other end of the phono cable due to a change in house use hence the streaming solution ill have a play with a spare dac/rpi thanks dunk's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=47124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112447 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
