got a nice surprise when I searched for Spotify in the marketplace and found two apps for Squeezebox. I've installed and paid for both (Squeeze Remote, and Squeeze Controller)so that I can play around with both and see which one works best. Well done on Squeeze Remote, great first release and it's a very useful app. Not sure the user interface is as it could be, but maybe that's just me getting used to it. I do look forward to playing around with it more. One specific thing that was a little tricky for me was the volume control bar: I found the bar a little bit narrow to be trying to drag up or down with my finger, though I may be doing it wrong. Thanks mherger for developing this great plugin - it's a fantastic feature that really should be a part of the core SqueezeCenter in future releases. I'm running SqueezeCenter 7.5.1 on my Windows Home Server and have setup the gallery plugin for use on my Duet Controller. It works but won't browse randomly even when I adjust the ImageViewer setting to random. I'd like all pics to be displayed upright/portrait as I have the Duet sitting in the charger base and at the moment some pictures are rotated, I'm happy to have the photos be smaller or cropped in order to keep them vertical, is there a way of achieving that? I'm also having problems with some photos not displaying (I get the check connection message) but haven't figured out yet which ones this happens to as sometimes when I retry it works. Is there a relatively stable release of 7.6 out there? If so, I'd be happy to give that a go to see if it helps as I can live with a few bugs if need be. Finding it pretty hard to find clear info on the latest status of Last.fm streaming in Squeezebox Server (using 7.5.0) and this thread seems to come closest to explaining it - have they restricted access to the Last.fm streaming functionality to certain geographies? I'm in Ireland and it stopped working a number of months back and I didn't get a chance to look into it. Since upgrading to 7.4 and then 7.5.0 I haven't been able to find it anywhere in the menus (though scrobbling still works). Is it worth going through the steps listed in this thread to try get this workaround going or is it simply not going to work (as appears to be the case in New Zealand)? I installed CustomBrowse, CustomScan, CustomSkip but then decided the minor subset of those feature sets that I needed didn't merit the time I'd need to spend figuring them out and setting them up. So I deleted the files from the Plugins folder and also deleted the CustomBrowse folder in the Cache folder and then restarted SC 7.2.1. I can now start MusicIP mixes from the webUI and also from SoftSqueeze but it doesn't work on my Boom (holding Play now just starts playing the selected song straight away) or on my Duet (holding play gives a MusicIP Mix not available for this item error message or else it creates an empty mix). Thanks James. I played around with it for a while and copied the installed folder from my PC to the WHS and restarted and it worked. Ok, I'll try restart a few times and see if it shows up. I'll restart by logging into SqueezeCenter in my browser, hitting the Power button to turn it off, and then turning it back on again - is that the best way to do it? Right, I have this working via the Squeezecenter installation on my PC and its feckin schweet. Displaying the album art automatically for each track played on my Last.fm personal station is just the icing on the cake. Is it possible to use the remote controller to indicate if you Love a track while its playing - you can do this in the web interface, but if it could be done from the controller that would be brilliant. Can you set this up to work when connected directly to Squeezenetwork with no PC turned on (I doubt it as where would the plugin sit, but just checking)? I still can't get it working on my Windows Home Server though, which is my primary music source and the PC will be off most of the time so I need to get it setup on the WHS. I think I've done the same steps on both machines so can't figure out why it's not working. I can't find the Stop Server button (which Status bar is it on) on either machine so just used went direct to the Services menu through Control Panel and restarted it there. I notice that on my PC the SqueezeScrobbler folder in the Plugins folder now has some additional files that weren't there originally (install.xml, strings.txt, playStation.pl and a schema file). Sorry for the basic question, but I've done the following and I can't figure out what I need to do next to start using Last.fm. I assume the scrobbling info of whatever tracks I play on my Duet will be sent to Last.fm but how can I access the Last.fm radio stream and what other features are available? As a suggestion - it would be handy to update the first post of this thread with links to latest version and latest tips/instructions as this would avoid much of the need to trawl through loads of pages.
