Hi, Like the look of this app. Wanting to try getting it operational on the Xbox 360. When installed on the Windows 7 PC with SqueezeServer on the About page says that the Squeeze Server is stopped, but the Status page says that it is contactable. It does not show up in the music folder on the Xbox. I have attached screenshots of both windows. Let me know if you need more or if there is anything I should try here. [SlimDevices: Plugins] Anyone considering a YouTube Disco plugin?
YouTube have just launched Disco a music mixing service of the Last.fm and pandora ilk. http://www.youtube.com/disco It is fairly basic, but for those of us outside the US, UK and Europe, getting something like this onto the Squeezebox would allow us to share in these services again. I am posting this as I would be an interested user of this plugin - I don't have a programming bone in my body. If anyone has an idea on how easy this would be to develop and/or is developing it, post the info here so that we can all be aware of it. Thanks James, Good to hear it working again. Only I have noticd that it no longer appears in the Internet Radio section of the Duet Controller. I have looked through and cannot find it anywhere. On the Web interface it is in the Internet Radio section. Perhaps we need to make it an App and place it in My Apps. I am speakingout of turn as I do not know what the issues with doing this would be. Hi, Excited to read this post. Unfortunately, not happening here. I am running 7.4 and as you probably know, there are a few changes in this version. Including the My Apps folder. The folder is now c:\program files\squeezebox not squeezecenter. Using the extension installer, it says that it is installed. There is an Audioscrobbler folder in server\slim\plugin but no squeezescrobbler anywhere, which is odd. The squeezescrobbler appears as an installed plugin in the plugins tab. Lastfm shows in the Internet Radio list. But... If I click on the Lastfm icon under internet radio, it just sits there loading forever. On the Duet remote, lastfm does not show up at all. Can I assume that all other people here who have had the fortune to get the plugin running are using a previous version of squeezecenter (or as Logitech call it now Squeezebox Server)? Any tips on getting this plugin going with 7.4? Hi, I have removed 1.2.5 and installed 1.2.6. Works again, but no sound. Any tips on why this would be. Songs show as playing, album art appears and I can skip etc, but no sound. James, I am saddened to hear that it looks like a full re-write. You have provided a great service to this community. It looks like we need to move on. There is no last.fm alternative outside the geo-restricted areas, but is there an alternative service. Can anyone recommend a Squeezebox service similar to the one that James offered us? It seems to be totally random. I tried a similar artist and it didn't work. Two hours later the Duet bursts into song as the station suddenly starts to play. I have had similar results with varing times before they start with other artists; including multi-word artist names. I wonder if this is an issue with the plugin or Last.fm. Works fine from other Last.fm widgets though. I am looking forward to this working again. Again, I ask the question, why are sub-dot releases of the SqueezeCenter software causing this sort of failure in a plugin? Love this plugin. I have the same problem SS 1.2.2 and SC 7.3.2. What are Logitech doing with their point release upgrades that stop 3pp like this from working? Worked on 7.3.1, what has changed to kill it on 7.3.2? James, I love the plugin and are keen to get it back up and running. I am assuming that the install.xml should be run some how to move the plugin files to the right place. I have SC 7.3.1 installed and removed 1.1.2 of your plugin and replaced with 1.2.1 in the plugins folder. Restarted SC and in settings page found your plugin in the list of plugins. When I click on the settings link for it did not go to the settings page, but presented this 404. 404 Not Found: settings/plugins/SqueezeScrobbler/settings/basic.html I am guessing that this is no biggy as others have the new plugin working.
