I worked out that 'make' was on the Mac OS disc and so installed the developers tools through Xcode. Yes - it's listed as an installed plugin that's turned on. Just that iTunes isn't being updated. Not sure if it makes a difference but I have all my music on an external disc with iTunes library files in their original location. Hi, I can't get itunes update working either... Have had a few funny things happen recently (custom scan etc) but these now seem to be fixed... I installed it with the extension downloader. thank you. I'm not sure but don't think that they would use different paths to get to the file... solved it - thanks! The xml path was fine but in the basic settings, the path to my music stopped at 'music' and didn't go down to music/itunes Changing this has let me import all of the statistics... Hi - I am trying to import my data from itunes (play count in particular so that it will help with dynamic playlists) but I can't get it to work. On the settings tab, it says 'Running' - but has been for a long, long time (1 week?!) I previously ran this plugin fine, but for some reason (an update to the server software?) the data was lost. I am also struggling to get itunes update to work so wonder if there is a linked problem? My itunes music files are all on an external disc but the library file is in the default place. Any help really appreciated. so... I wasn't too worried about this at the time, but now am listening more and more to Sigur Rós. As the updater doesn't update it means my iTunes stats are not accurate so smart playlists etc etc. Anyone have any idea how to fix it?? [SlimDevices: Plugins] iTunes update on SqueezeCentre 7 (simple question!?)
Just updated to SqueezeCentre 7 and noticed that my itunes library wasn't updating. So downloaded the most up-to-date plugin and began to follow the install procedure Copied the folder into the plugins folder (replacing the old one) Worked through installing the Perl module (although that seemed to be uptodate) but now I'm stuck. On the new settings panel, I can't find a plugins tab and, having stopped and started the server, iTunes is still not updating. Have read the part that says b) You may find that the plugin does not appear at all in SlimServer. If this is the case it needs to be installed in an alternate location; Rather than [USERNAME]/Library/SlimDevices/Plugins/ try putting the Plugin directory in /Library/PreferencePanes/SlimServer.prefPane/Contents/server/Plugins But when I look for that I find a file called SlimServer.pref.Pane but it's not a directory so I can't then find the following directories. So that's as far as I get. Would love some help - am sure I'm making a simple error! Many thanks in advance. thanks for that speedy reply! My problem, however is that that particular song (in fact the whole CD) never seems to scrobble - I currently have other songs going on fine but get an error message on Last.fm to the effect of bad tags. I've had a look around with a tag editor and can't see anything strange... The only thing that is a little odd is that on the slim server list, there are 2 artist names, separated by a comma, even though I have only put one in... could there be a hidden tag issue? If so where do I look for it? my sb3 has stopped scrobbling tracks. I had had a problem not being able to connect to my wireless network - managed to sort this out through turning everything (router, sb, mac) off and restarting - also re-entering the WEP key... got the box working again but nothing submitting. Any ideas? I have read through this thread as have had similar issues... I've tried logging on to the root account to install the Glue AppleScript. However when I do this (whether logged in as me or as the root user) I get the message: --NOT OK Running make test Can't test without successful make Running make install make had returned bad status, install seems impossible I am a total novice and only got this far by reading and rereading the messages on here...
