infrastructure/lib/DPB/Job: Port.pm

Log message:
unfuck pkgpaths.
- instead of seen/unseen, have an actual constructor. Instead, mark pkgpath
for which we wantinfo/wantbuild.
- only mark EXTRA dependencies as wantinfo. So the devel/haddock,no_deps
temporary error should be gone.
- since we have FLAVOR and SUBPACKAGE available, construct as much info as
we can during vars scanning (see handle_equivalences). This avoids about 150
path rescans during a full bulk. Also, grab the timing and logsizes from
equivalent files, so that most stuff should know show % all the time.
- tweak subdirlist to be a hash, and correctly add pkgpath_and_flavors to it.
That way, we rescan avahi pseudo flavors just once, and not four or five times.

/usr/bin/env shebangs and Co.

2011-10-10 Thread Vadim Zhukov
Hello all.

While working on Qt/KDE bindings (some KDE apps are build upon them, so I
could not cheat and forget them, leaving porting for someone else :) ),
I've seen many sample scripts that has #!/usr/bin/env some-interpreter
shebangs. They are easily updated via MODXYZ_ADJ_FILES, but do we need
this at all? The point is that those examples are intended for novice
programmers and therefore focus on portability for a reason. I fix such
shebangs for worker ones, but not sure about examples/tutorials/samples
etc.

Also, is there is a point in creating packages like python-run,
containing single symlink to default python as bin/python in PLIST and
such Python version as dependency? I.e.:

PKGNAME=python-run
MODULES=lang/python
NO_BUILD=Yes
do-install:
ln -sf ${MODPY_BIN} ${PREFIX}/bin/python

I will provide diffs if anyone is interested in one or another solution.

(And all this definitely should be covered in porting guide...)

Raptor II: textproc/raptor returns

2011-10-10 Thread Vadim Zhukov
Hello all.

Here is a somewhat heavy update of textproc/raptor, joint effort
from Amit Kulkarni and me. It was a bit tricky because we need to
update (not just bump) a few other ports too, especially, liblrdf.

Yes, this is another prerequisite for KDE 4 update. :) You can see
that databases/soprano is set to broken ever; this will be dealt in
a few days. Newer version is ready but I do not want to make current
update too big, and nothing except KDE 4 needs it.

All ports depending on raptor and/or liblrdf are tested, bumps (with
some WANTLIB updates, while there) included. Exception is the
openoffice3 port: it's excluded from builds anyway and does not
differ too much from libreoffice.

Also, I do not have Flickr account, so can't test new net/flickcurl.
If I recall correctly, maintainer was basically OK with update.

Not sure about aqualung update: I preferred adding libpng dependency
to patching sources to forcefully disable it.

textproc/redland has textproc/rasqal split off from it. I've added
@conflict marker to textproc/rasqal and this should be enough: old
packages, if any, will still use .libs-redland anyway, and newer
ones should depend on rasqal explicitly. textproc/rasqal port will be
sent in a separate mail, sorry: I have some problems with mailers ATM.

Original textproc/liblrdf upstream is sleeping, so it was decided to
use fork made by Taybin Rutkin. Actually, old site says:

  As of 2011-07-01, this project may now be found at
   https://github.com/swh/LRDF.;

so this should be done anyway.

Tested on amd64 (Amit) and i386 (me).

fix broken manuals in the groff port

2011-10-10 Thread Ingo Schwarze
Hi,

some time ago, Pascal Stumpf reported that manuals are broken in the
textproc/groff port. The worst case probably is this:

 $ man 7 groff
 groff.7:3955:4: FATAL: line scope broken, syntax violated

But the other manuals don't look very good, either;
no wonder that groff uses lots of its own low-level macros
in its own manuals, which mandoc(1) doesn't like at all.

Thus, i suggest to format the manuals at build time, using the
freshly-built groff itself - of course, USE_GROFF is not the way
to go in this special case.

The only exception is the groff_mdoc(7) manual - that one actually
looks better with mandoc(1).

With this patch, groff still builds, installs, and uninstalls
cleanly, the manuals look reasonable, and the diff of the
build logs also looks sane.

OK?
  Ingo
