Hi Bill,

printing works ok (see what I have written abut text87). It also works
via SBasic. All no problem. QPCprint is used and first in the queue. So,
nevertheless, what kind of Windows printer is attached to QPCprint,
QPCprint is the first and leading part. If it does not give an output,
there is nothing or the port remains open.

Cheers...Ralf

[ql-users] Extracting QL Programmes from Microdrive to PC

2006-01-06 Thread Ben Lawrence
Hi All

This is my first post here so please go gently with me!

I have just resurrected my QL by getting a new keyboard membrane for it, and
have been delighted to find all the programmes and documents that I wrote 21
years ago.

I would like to get the files transferred onto my PC so I can run them under an
emulator.

Does anybody know of a method of transferring files from microdrive to CD?
Does anybody offer this as a service?

I only have a standard QL with microdrives - I have no disk drives etc.

Any help or suggestions gratefully received!

All the best

Ben

Thank you.

Just out of interest, can you give me an idea how long it takes to
convert a 1024x512 picture on Q40 or Q60 (whichever you use)?

 Hi Dilwyn

Below is my adaption of the Qx0 part of your pic to bmp converter.
It seems to work as I have used it on occasion its what I sent to
 Michael Grunditz.

 1910 blue = (PEEK(qlad+1)62) DIV 2
 1920   red =  (4*(PEEK(qlad)7))||((PEEK(qlad+1)192) DIV 64)
 1930 green = ((PEEK(qlad)248) DIV 8)
 1940 intensity = (PEEK(qlad+1)1) : REMark 0 or 1
 1950 POKE pcad,(8*(blue))+intensity*7
 1960 POKE pcad+1,(8*(green))+intensity*7

Re: [ql-users] Micro Peripherals I/F EPROM

2006-01-06 Thread John Gilpin
Hi Phoebus,

Just in case you missed my earlier contribution to this thread, Quanta has a
lot of stuff donated by ex QLers (sad) which Rich Mellor and I are hoping to
catalogue and make available to anyone who wants a copy - time is short at
the moment but it will get done. I can't help you with the items you refer
to but keep on asking - we may have something you need.

Regards,

John Gilpin.

The older QL peripherals are getting rarer and rarer, so I'm glad to
hear that Quanta, the london group and others are keeping hold of some
items for those who do like to collect the old gear!

Since I missed the earlier post. I am still reading this using my mobile
as a modem, so some messages unfortunately get lost, I would like to know
if Quanta or anybody else, could provide us with links to see them or a
list so we that are interested could buy them.

BTW: I have a Cumana disk I/F and an AMDEK 3 Dual Drive if anyone is
willing to trade. (the second drive is half-dead but the first one works
like a charm - these are the full height 3 drives) - Mind you the AMDEK
is heavy and sadly a 110V unit (internally selectable I think to go to
 220/240)-

I am looking for a Video Digitiser (any kind I think there where two)
and/or an ABC Elektronik GigaRAM board.

I have other things I'm looking for as well, if anyone has a large
collection with doubles I'd be glad to buy/trade with them ;-)
I am also looking for original programs in MDV/Disk format for my Archive
(yes it is still in the works)
