[Ql-Users] Clive Sinclair is part of Britain's pop culture!

2010-06-29 Thread Urs Koenig (QL)
After a few years of silence Clive Sinclair gets more and more public
interest again. After last years rush with Sir Clive (BBC's Micro Men and
Electric Dreams programmes), his wedding with a former Lap dancer this
spring and his 70th birthday coming soon the appearance of the recent pop
song by Electric Disorder proves that Sir Clive Sinclair has become a part
of Britain's pop culture.

You can even buy the sing on iTunes if you like.

Happy Sinclair day!

[Ql-Users] How can I purchase old Ergon Development software titles?

2010-06-29 Thread Martyn Hill

Hi all

Having tried to email Ergon Deveolpment and not gotten a response yet, I
wondered if anyone here knows how I can purchase a copy of their ZM/ht
Spectrum compiler/emulator?

Also, I see from their website that the SB source of their MasterBasic
software could be made available - I'd very much like to see how they
designed this.

Any ideas?

Martyn Hill, London

The MasterBasic is a nice piece of software, to use alongside a SBasic
program - particularly when it is a relatively large program.

Would probably benefit even more from a makeover too.

Yes, I really like MasterBasic - I was mainly involved in re-writing the
manual for it (and other Ergon products) - learnt a lot about the QL
from those manuals!

IIRC the ZM/ht Spectrum emulator off Davide's website is a PD demo
version with some restrictions. I can't be 100% sure, perhaps Davide
will clarify if he's reading this, I don't think that there ever was a
full free release of the ZM/ht system.
