Re: [Ql-Users] Composite video device
Dilwyn , looks like there are quite a few of those Drum Samplers so knowing which one would be nice. How ever as you said the composite output is best just connected to the Scart input of the given TV! I’ve suggested connecting its composite video to pins 20 and 17 of a SCART connector to a TV set, and suggested he looks into whether JS Technologies (who make the Simple Video Scalar for older computers like QL) have any suitable adaptors for Composite video, although I don’t know if that works only by RGB. Dilwyn Jones I have a Simmons SDX drum sampler. It outputs composite video at a resolution of 512x256. This won't display properly on a modern screen.Do you know of any way I can get it to display properly. I don't have RGB signals like the QL. I am interested in the possibility that I may be able to use some of the QL techniques as (correct me if I'm wrong) the QL also outputs 512x256 video. Re: [Ql-Users] Composite video device
I know he's been talking to JS Technologies about that video scalar device, but that's as much as I've heard back so far. The only thing I can think of is that either he doesn't have a SCART TV or it's a victim of over-scanning like the QL used to be with some TVs and monitors which would only really cope with 480 pixels wide.
