thanks Dilwyn, that might be useful. However, the sneaky thing about QT is that 
it allows me to save a text document in HTML or TEXT whihc is quite useful. On 
the other hand, I might be doing it manually as the default HTML generated is 
quite 'verbal'.

Thanks to all who replied. 

My problem was, I'm doing the lunch hour work on the new QStripper and I have 
to strip out those characters which require translating for HTML - the pound 
sign, for example, is translated to 'amp;' and so on. I was at work, and I 
have bno QDOS docs here with me :o(

BTW, a quick and easy way to find these, if you have QD, is to do F3 - 
Character table.

Shows you all printable chars (AND gives you the chr number)...
