Did I misinterpret the sentence from the help page or is this a bug?
The statement used to be true at some point. Unfortunately it no
longer seems possible to (easily) determine with 100% accuracy whether
a page will be blank. I will remove that sentence from the
documentation, but add a warning when lattice detects likely blank
pages.
