Dave,
Crystaltech would be the guilty party. I think they are simply getting too
big to respond to little 'ol me and a couple of shared accounts.
I have a VPS (Bluedragon) at Viviotech that I could use for this, but I
really need <cfreport> and don't plan on installing CFMX7 to get it.

I agree with Doug and Sean, that this mapping issue is really not a
Reactor problem, it's just darned unfortunate for those of us that use
shared servers. I really hope that Adobe realizes that they need CF8 to
play better in a shared environment. Isolating memory and mappings would
be key.

Thanks for everyone's input. My current app is FB5 and I'll probably just
re-write the database interaction into standard qry_*.cfm files.

Terry Schmitt

Re: [Reactor for CF] Shared host mappings? Sanity check

You are using CrystalTech... right?

I am with them also...until the end of next month, that is.

I was able to complain and bitch, ask for a supervisor, threaten to leave
them... that sort of thing... and they eventually moved my site to a
server that did not have reactor mapped...so that I could map it and
perpetuate the problem for others (perhaps for you).

Ultimately, the solution is to move to another provider and make sure
CrystalTech knows the reason. When they lose enough customers, they will
rethink their policy.

Good Luck,
