The International Consortium for Law and Religion Studies is pleased to
announce its Third Biannual Conference, "Religion, Democracy, and
Equality," to be held August 21-23 at the University of Virginia Law School
and the College of William and Mary.

The conference will feature a keynote address by U.N. Special Rapporteur on
Freedom of Religion or Belief, Heiner Bielefeldt, who is also the Chair of
Human Rights and Human Rights Policy at the University of Erlangen,
Germany.  Speakers will include over 70 experts from  25 countries.
