 Miguel,

I think the previous reference to Pins 3 5 are in error. Pins 3
 5
are OK if you reference the 19-pin R/T Unit (the radio) connector,
but
it is Pins 31 32 on the HEAD.

 Miguel,

The information you seek is available for download here:

 www.repeater-builder.com/mitrek/mitrek-low-band-mobile-
manual45e65.pdf

 or in TinyURL format

 www.tinyurl.com/ymqzt4

This is the low-band Mitrek manual, but the control head and cable
are
identical to the UHF model. Simply go to page 60 of the 66-page PDF
document, and use the Adobe Reader snapshot tool to select and
print the
 cable hookup diagram.

The Mitrek UHF service manual is still in print, should you choose
to
purchase a copy, and can be ordered from Motorola Parts. It is
Part Number
 6881045E75, and costs about US$ 30.

thanks for the information,,, I solve the problem, now the problem
that I got is that the Transmitter audio is not TX... I have the RX
fine but the TX is like mute... I know there is a extra jumper to
do... I will figure it out..

[Repeater-Builder] Need help troubleshooting a Motorola Mitrek UHF

2006-12-30 Thread ai4sb
Hello and thanks for reading!!

ok, I have a motorola mitrek UHF converted to the ham band. I have the
control cable attach and I attach a local speaker to the green and
orange wires then I apply power...

I should be able to hear the squelch/noise and hear myself in the
speaker, but that is my problem, I do not hear anything nothing is
comming out,, my question is how do I start troubleshooting this to
find out what is wrong and how to fix this???

Any help is appreciated

Hello and thanks for reading..

I was wondering if anyone out there has crystals that are already made
for frequencies: 443.325 TX and 448.325 RX I know I could order them
but that will take too long, usually someone already has the crstals
already made.. if that is the case... I want to hear from you, email me

 Miquel,

The exec II is real easy to convert so might be easier to find one
and
convert yourself. Takes 2 steps to duplex it. Will still need
 controller and audio shaping.

I think the conversion is on this board. Use to be.
