Um Ok, I want this gone. Tried swapping it, and selling it so how low do i have
to go before someone will bite.

not that i will necessarily let it go extremely cheap, but i am just curious
about how low i have to go to get it sold. also want to know the reasoning of
why it is so hard to get it sold since GMRS and Ham are still wideband.

i will also toss in a small cushcraft uhf ringo as well.

again will swap to a rebandable p25 mobile scanner or ???

i have an older set of dtr's with the non removable antenna. i would like to

i hate stubby antenna's. ht antenna's are compromised to begin with and stubby

[Repeater-Builder] Motorola T1504A Duplexer Lock Nut

2010-01-10 Thread kc8gpd
Hi,

Does any one in the groups have on of these in their junk box that they don't
need?

I took my duplexer to get tuned only to realize that some genius thought that
duct tape was a suitable replacement for a proper lock nut on one of the cans.

he did the tuneup on the duplexer as best he could.

after i locate a nut i would love it if their are any local hams with the
capability to give it that final tweak as i am sure that one can is out of spec.

thanks,

robert kc8gpd

And the Agent told me they can easily track energy

i have always had a problem with this. it eventually leads prices based on the
time of day you use energy.

as if they don't gouge you enough already they want more for usage during
certain times of the day.

I now have a Pass/Reject Duplexer Coming To me for my GMRS Project.

A nice guy from the forums here is swapping one to me for my LPB 8ch mono
broadcast board.

but due to the fact i may be moving to alabama soon, it will be official on
dec. 1st. the repeater obviously will not be in the hunterdon county area now.

I will be going to City of Tuscaloosa in alabama so i will be searching for a
free host in that area.

Guess having a Pass/Reject Duplexer will now allow me to colo the repeater on a
tower site.

I have will over on batlabs tuning up the duplexer and recapping/aligning my

i am thinking that i will turn the power down on the desktrac to 10-15 watts.

still don't have a GMRS license or a site for the repeater.

[Repeater-Builder] acssb - how does it work and is it possible for the hobbyist to scratch build

2009-11-11 Thread kc8gpd
basically as the title states. i have never heard of acssb outside of 220-222
mhz.

seems to me acssb was a good idea and was curious as to why the ham community
has not picked up on it for mobile HF SSB use.

seems to me having the benefits of SSB without the hassle of messing with a
clarifier all the time has it's advantages in a mobile environment.

also it seems running a AOR ARD9000 type device over ACSSB would be a really
great advantage.

i have zero experience with either of these modes so i am not sure how this
idea would turn out.

i know that the likely reason is NBFM and P25 for the demise of ACSSB, but as
stated above seems to me it would be at home in the HF spectrum.

I know i am going to get flamed for this, but i think ACSSB would make a great
replacement for standard ssb in the 11 meter market.

it would also allow the use of CTCSS on HF using a more efficient mode then FM.
imagine haveing ACSSB 10 meter repeaters instead of FM.

These are Very Heavy and well built.

also what is the encryption type rolling inversion, fixed inversion or DES? i'm

Can these be used in modes other than FM? such as AM or SSB?
