[Repeater-Builder] Re: Motorola Part : PHOTO posted

Thanks! Any stats on what the voltages would be ? Approx?

I bought this with the intent of using it as a sensing element in an HF
amplifier, any thoughts ?

P.S. I'm not a Repeater Builder, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn
Express.

[Repeater-Builder] Motorola Part : ID held needed.

Motorola p/n TLD9640B obviously an SWR sensor of some sort, N
connectors, and 2 RCA jacks labeled forward and reverse.

So I know it is an SWR sensor of some sort.

Looking for Info on frequency and power rating?

Any Help Appreciated.

Thanks!
I think you have put me in the ballpark, although what I have looks
different, I will post a photo to the list tonight.

The Motorola TLD9640B, described as Wattmeter VHF in the catalog,
was only
recently cancelled. I suspect that it is a Telewave PA-2A-300 RF
Power
 Monitor. Go here for info:

[Repeater-Builder] MC-50 RF Sig Gen Info needed.

2008-03-06 Thread kf8zn
I have posted a pic of an RF Signal Generator I bought, under the album
KF8ZN.

If anyone can provide me with info on it, I would appreciate it. It
works, but has some bizarre circuitry inside that has me scratching my
head!!

One of our local repeaters was upgraded to an APCO P25 machine earlier
this week, I like the fact that this protocol supports conventional FM
voice as well.

Like others have posted, I look at things from an Emergency
Communications/Interoperability standpoint as well.

I caution any ARES/RACES group that is considering going digital to
make damn sure you get it right, because you will only get ONE
opportunity to mess up if you are needed. If a served agency sees you
having the same compatability issues they face with their Comm.
Systems, you WON'T be called upon again.
