looks good to me on both counts.

 3. Both the tar.gz files on the Download_RKWard page are actually just
tar files! I think it would be better to upload the gzipped files
rather than (although the simpler option) just to rename the files to
 *.tar

Could it be, some kio-magic is playing tricks on you? They're definitely
gzipped tar files.

 4. Suse/openSuse should be updated based on the recent information
 from joekirchner.

I'd kind of like to hear from other openSuse-users first, though. Hopefully
there is a way to install KDE4 library / development headers without having to
fetch all the dependencies, manually. Is anyone with Suse-knowledge reading
this?

Regards
Thomas

i will, but for the time being, my spare time resources are rather limited
(new st...@work, preparations for http://openmusiccontest.org @

this won't affect the repos, though. if you feel like it, you're free to
announce them in the wiki. i'll look into it as soon as there's more time for
it.

You are right... It was this new arora browser that gunzipped it
without any message! The files are OK.

Yes, this manual dependency solving was indeed surprising to me. I
hope someone with suse expertise can help. I thought these days, all
package managers handle dependencies comfortably! Anyway.

Thanks,
